STEVIE SKREEBS

BASS GUITAR * BACKING VOCALS

Stevie was born and raised in Niagara Falls Ontario and had

dreams of being a hockey star. He was inspired by the great

Bobby Orr of the Boston Bruins and modeled himself after him.

Playing for All Star teams year after year it looked like he might

get a shot at the pros. But once he hit his teens and saw the movie

"The Song Remains The Same" by Led Zeppelin it changed his life.

Tired of getting injured and the politics of hockey he got himself

a guitar and starting letting loose. Playing in basement bands

with his high school friends was lots of fun, but nobody wanted

to play bass guitar. So Stevie being the team player that he is

would play the bass notes on his guitar. But lacking the bottom

end that is needed finally got himself a bass and never looked back.

His good friend Greg Fraser was in a touring rock band called

Pharoah, and when an opening for bass was needed he suggested

Stevie. Both being under age (16yrs old) they went on tour and

had a blast. Once Stevie tasted the Rock & Roll lifestyle he was

hooked. After more member changes the band broke up and

Greg went back on tour with other bands while Stevie stayed in

the N. Falls and honed his chops and developed his skills with

local bands in the area. By the time they were 19, Greg who still

kept in touch with Stevie, asked him if he wanted to start a

recording project. Stevie said yes and the search for other band

members was on. After about a year recording with different

people they finally felt they had the winning combination of guys

to play and record with. And that band became known around the

world as Brighton Rock. For the next 10 years Brighton Rock

released 4 cds, 6 videos, toured the world and partied their

asses off! With Gold records on their wall and the pride of

knowing that their hard work and determination payed off,

Stevie and the guys called it a day once the "Alternative music"

domination took over. Touring for 10 straight years was a lot of

fun but mentally and physically draining. So Stevie decided to

take an extended vacation from the road and stay home and jam

with his friends and maybe play with some local bands. Stevie

was quite content to hang loose. But after a few years, the

urge for original rock & roll was burning inside. His long

time friend Greg Fraser was having the same feeling and called

him up and said, "Let's do it!" Stevie said, "You could'nt have

called at a better time. They recruited local drum legend

Phil Epp and after some serious rehearsing headed into the

studio and recorded  music that is based on their roots and

love of kick ass, hell raising, fun rock & roll!
